The Energy Valley Foundation's goal is to bring about the preconditions necessary for successful public and private energy initiatives. In this context, operational management is provided by the coordination department. Our aim is to foster a climate of development in which corporate and non-profit energy activities can flourish. The coordination department is responsible for:
- Generating ideas and support: by sharing information, holding network meetings, exhibitions, etc.
- Promoting Energy Valley as the undisputed regional energy leader, via communications, brochures, representation, advocacy, etc.
- Project support: via clarification of issues, coalition forming, creating support, applying innovations, fundraising, etc.
Project support is characterised particularly by active efforts in the areas of clean fossil fuels, biomass/green gas, sustainable mobility and decentralised energy. The coordination department supports strategic projects in these areas from initial conception to execution by serving as a productivity booster for (potential) initiative-takers.
The Energy Valley Foundation does not award any grants or develop any projects itself. The coordination department offers initiative-takers consultancy and support in implementing projects that contribute to the northern energy economy and employment. This service is provided in close cooperation with the provinces and other support organisations, including the Northern Netherlands Investment and Development Association (N.V. NOM) and the Northern Netherlands Technology Centre (TCNN).
Do you have an interesting energy initiative? If so, please contact us. We may be able to provide you with advice or put you in contact with potential partners to support your project.
Some initiatives run practically independently. The coordination department’s role is limited to monitoring the initiatives and forging new ties. Of course, this is also part of the Energy Valley region concept.
